DLH is currently seeking a Combat Medic to support our Department of Defense client within the US Army’s Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) located in Ft. Detrick, MD. The Combat Medic shall be a subject matter expertise for simulated combat casualty care scenarios.  


  • Develop medical scenarios to evaluate/test medical equipment in a simulated, forward deployed military setting.
  • Assist the Government in identifying specific medical scenarios that will effectively evaluate the overall medical integration of technologies to enhance medical care in military operations.
  • Assist the Government in the development of medic training plans to include technology training aids.
  • Map advanced technologies into field combat medic training and equipment evaluation.
  • Schedule appropriate scenarios and conduct on-site technology assessments/evaluations during live simulated medical care.
  • Assist with the creation of a technology field test assessment.
  • Travel to pre-determined exercise locations to assist with, set-up, and perform technology testing.
  • Conduct medical concept demonstration scenarios at locations identified during the scheduled training and evaluation periods.
  • Provide expert level operational medical insight and translate general military knowledge into discernable understanding.
  • Reviews documents and participate in discussions and briefings related to operational field medicine and communications.


Education, Certifications and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Military medical experience in operational setting, preferably as a combat medic
  • Medical simulation training experience
  • B.S. in Biological or related field


Security Clearance:

  • Existing IT/ADP Level III Public Trust clearance and above or the ability to obtain an IT/ADP Level III Public Trust.
